Working in media and PR, I love good photography. I had admired the work of Carrie Davenport for years, regularly spotting her music and event pics of rock stars and A-listers. I had trawled wedding photographer sites, when Brian suggested Carrie. Her documentary style was exactly what we had in mind. I was over the moon when she got back to say she was available, especially as she was off work preparing for her own wedding at the time.
Her wedding portfolio, aptly titled ‘Crazy, Happy, Love’ has a beautiful style with wedding packages that offered a great range of options. Carrie’s warm and friendly personality reflected in her work. “Delightfully cheerful wedding photography” that will make you smile!
When I said in #part1 the people we met along the way made our wedding the best it could be, Carrie was one of the highlights. She was a delight! The idea was to walk to City Hall together from home, getting photos beside the Lagan along the way. The typical Belfast weather changed just as we were ready to leave but Carrie adapted and we jumped in taxis and headed for our Plan B of the Duke of York. Like all parts of our wedding, the changes were for the better and had a ‘meant to be’ feeling about them. She put us completely as ease, let us enjoy our day and captured it beautifully. Her professionalism and knowledge shone through in every interaction with us, our family, friends and also the film crew (to come in #part 4).
The photographs were honestly better than we could have imagined. They made us laugh and cry as we re-lived those happy moments. I know they will be something we will forever cherish.
Here are a few to enjoy!
